Make An Access File Read Only

We can use explorer to make a Microsoft Access File read-only. This is applicable to any file not only to Office Files.

Steps To make a file read only in Windows Explorer

1) In Windows Explorer, right-click the Access database file (.mdb) or Access project file (.adp) and then select Properties.

2) In the Properties dialog box, select the Read-only check box.

When any file is made read-only we can only open the file and view it  but will not be able to edit it.
