Lock Rows And Columns

In Microsoft Excel 2003 we can easily lock or freeze any row or columns. It is possible with an option called Freeze panes. We can view two areas of a worksheet and lock rows or columns in one area by splitting or freezing panes. When we split panes, we'll be able to scroll in both areas of the worksheet, while rows or columns in the non-scrolled area remain visible and stable.

To Lock Rows and Columns using Freeze Panes:

When we freeze panes, we select specific rows or columns that we want to remain visible when scrolling in the worksheet and the rest of rows and columns will scroll to compare or analyze different things.

1) Click Window Menu and Freeze panes.

2) we can observe that, it will freeze rows that are above the current cursor position and columns that are left of current cursor position.
