Grouping Objects In Microsoft Word 2003

When we use the Group commands which are under 'Draw' on the Drawing toolbar, to group objects, we combine them so that we can work with them as though they were a single object. We can flip, rotate, and resize or scale all objects in a group as a single unit. We can also change the attributes of all objects in a group at one time.

For example, we might change the fill color or add a shadow to all objects in the group Or we can select an item within a group and apply an attribute, without ungrouping. We can also create groups within groups to help you build complex drawings.

To work with objects, we use commands on the Drawing toolbar. The Drawing toolbar appears in the lower left corner of the program window. If you don't see the Drawing toolbar, on the View menu, point to Toolbars and then click Drawing. This is done in Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 and 2010 versions.

Group objects :

Select the objects you want to group.
